SPICY SOURDOUGH TOAST

Start your day with a zesty kick! Our Spicy Sourdough Toast recipe combines the creamy, fiery taste of Queso-Melt Jalapeno Dip with the tangy crunch of sourdough bread. It's a simple yet satisfying breakfast that will wake up your taste buds!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread

  • 1/2 cup of Queso-Melt Jalapeno Dip

  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra cheesiness)

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced

  • 1 small tomato, sliced

  • 2 eggs (cooked to your preference)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh cilantro (optional for garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Butter both sides of each sourdough slice. Toast the bread in the skillet until it’s golden brown on both sides.

  2. Once toasted, remove the sourdough bread from the skillet and immediately spread a generous layer of Queso-Melt Jalapeno Dip on one side of each slice. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the queso dip, if using.

  3. Arrange sliced avocado and tomato on top of the queso layer. If desired, season the avocado and tomato with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. In the same skillet, cook two eggs to your liking. Options include scrambled, fried, or poached for a runny yolk to seep into the layers. Once cooked, place each egg on top of the assembled toast.

  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro for an additional burst of flavor and color.
